Description

In this introductory tutorial, we take you step-by-step through the process of creating your own custom button in Flash CS3 at authoring time. We introduce the basic elements of Flash's authoring environment: the Timeline, the Tools panel, and the Properties panel. We explain how to create and edit a "Symbol", in this case a button, and give it an instance name. We show how to write simple AS3 code that makes the button count the number of clicks. We show how to test a movie and introduce the output window.
