This applet shows how to use an external XML file to load data into a Flash movie at runtime. In particular, we use a parametric curves grapher from our article Flash Tools for Developers (AS3): Graphing Curves on the Plane  at the MathDL Flash Forum and create an easily editable gallery of parametric curves. The curves in the gallery are pulled from an external XML file. An XML file can be modified without recompiling the swf file to change the collection in the gallery. In our simple example, we have only four curves but you can easily add any number of them by editing the XML file. The pdf guide in the zipped package below explains the process in detail.
